Icarus is a student literary and arts magazine based in Trinity College, Dublin. We publish two or three issues per academic year and accept submissions of poetry, prose, drama, personal essays and visual art from students, staff and alumni of Trinity College. The magazine was established in 1950 by Alec Reid, and has been published with regularity ever since.

We’ve published work by Simon Armitage, Paul Muldoon, William Burroughs, Seamus Heaney, Louis MacNeice and Eavan Boland.

Former editors include Rudi Holzapfel, Brendan Kennelly, Derek Mahon, Michael Longley, Iain Sinclair, David Norris, John Haffenden, Maurice Scully, Sebastian Barry, Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin, David Wheatley, and Selina Guinness. The current editors for Volume 74 are Charlotte Moore & Eloise Rodger.
